August "Night At The Museum" - Toy Story

BigFlyerToy Story will be the theme of the upcoming “Night At The Museum”.  This popular monthly drop-off event is “kids only” and allows kids a chance to learn how to be independent for 3 hours in a safe and structured environment.  For $20 a child, the children are supervised, given a dinner and snacks, provided with fun activities that teach social skills among other things, and this month, they’ll have a visit from a special Toy Story guest!  Call 559-733-5975 to sign up.  Places are limited.

A Night At The Museum - STAR WARS!

IMG_3921The July 2016 “Night At The Museum” featured STAR WARS, and by all accounts was another success.  Just look at the picture and you’ll see budding Jedi Masters having a blast at the Museum along with the surprise guest of the night, a Jedi Master.  You can sign up your kids for what promises to be another fun event at the next Night At The Museum, August 26th, 2016, which will feature Toy Story.  Call 559-733-5975 for more information.

Summer Sizzle! An Adult Swim in a Children's Museum.

A brave group of adults were the first to experience an “Adult Swim” in the Children’s Museum.  Similar events are very popular in other parts of the country, but this was a first for us in the Central Valley.  Simply put, this is an after-hours event specifically catering to the over-21 crowd, just like in the old days of the public swimming pool when the adults would get a special hour to swim without kids in the water.  Catered by Pita Kabob, and featuring adult beverages, this event allows for a unique way for adults to socialize while letting their “inner kid” out to play in the museum.  Add to that some specialty crafts and dance lessons, the event was clearly a fun evening.

The next Adult Swim event, the Fall-tini will be in October, when the cooler weather will allow us to extend the fun into our outdoor areas.  Look for flyers and information coming soon.

Dr. Seuss "Night At The Museum" success

Miss Central Valley, Miss Tulare County, Miss Teen Tulare County, and the Tulare County Princess all joined an enthusiastic group of children and staff to make the March “Night At The Museum” a fun success.  In addition to food, games, and a movie, favorite Dr. Seuss stories were read aloud with plenty of help from the kids.
