Winter Break Family Camp
Time for some good family fun! We'll be open from 10 AM to 4 PM each day. We'll have Art in the morning, and Science and Nature in the afternoon.
Children Must be Accompanied by an Adult.
Family Camp Admission:
- Non-Members:$6 Per Child, $6 Per Participating Adult*, $2 Per Non-Participating Adult.
- Members: $2 Per Child, $2 Per Participating Adult*, Free to Non-Participating Adult Members!
* Participating Adult - Creates an art piece of their own.
Family Camp Schedule of Events:
Mon. Jan. 2 - Artist Kacey Fancett - Watercolors - 10 am & 11:30 am Kacey has become a favorite here at the Museum. Every child will leave with a framed masterpiece! Mini Lava Lamps - 2 pm Slime - 3 pm
Tues. Jan. 3 - Artist Sherley Tucker - 10 am & 11:30 am Sherley will be helping children create clay treasures that will be taken back to her studio to be glazed and fired. We'll call when they're ready to be picked up! Glitter Globes - 2 pm Fossil Prints - 3 pm
Wed. Jan. 4 - Talent Coaches Rebecca & Scott Seargeant of Kindermusik - Acting - 10 am & 11:30 am Each child will have the chance to see themselves on stage and on our large screen TV. Those budding stars can learn what to expect at that first casting call and audition. Chaffee Zoomobile - 2 pm & 3 pm
Thurs. Jan. 5 - Artist Paulina Swietliczko - Mural Art - 10 am & 11:30 am Paulina will be instructing children in the art of mural painting. Each child will take a piece of the mural home! Brandon from Wild Child Adventures - Bubble-ology!! - 2 pm The science and fun of bubbles! An introduction into the physical characteristics of bubbles will be followed by everyone having the opportunity to be placed inside a giant bubble! Then Brandon will demonstrate balloon artistry.
Fri. Jan. 6 - Artist Erika Chan Moore - Picasso Painting - 10 am & 11:30 am Children will learn about Picasso and make their own Picasso impresionistic framed masterpieces! Volcanoes - 2 pm
