The museum will be used to teach sustainability in many ways: (Sustainability seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact by enhancing efficiency and conservation in the use of energy, materials recycling and more compact development spaces)

  • The building will be designed to meet gold standard LEED certification (leadership in energy and environmental design.
  • Components of the building energy generation will serve as teaching exhibits (Windmill, Solar panels, and shade structures).
  • Recycling Center/Exhibit will provide videos about where those cans and bottles go etc.
  • Unique location on the same site as a storm water basin will provide opportunities for water conservation and recharge education.
